At a Glance

A quiet and distant tall man who wanders, smelling of various Far Eastern herbs. "Lahò" is a wanderer who carries a tired and apathetic demeanor who doesn't often stay in the same place for long. Working various odd jobs, as a member of the logistics and research wings of Anyroad, and at his own Far Eastern medicinal shop, he is often called a workaholic. While typically not one to talk, he speaks in a silvery voice. Clear, airy, smooth, and pleasant to the ear (or horn) yet with a lingering chill. He is never seen in public without something covering the top of his head and usually keeps his eyes and ears covered.

Hooks

Each string of words woven together left a lingering chill of a tone that seemed simply natural with his voice. Without a hint of malice, yet without clear signs of warmth.Smell of Medicinal Herbs // Passing by the man, one may notice a strong smell of medicinal herbs coming from him. As if clinging to clothing either through consumption or working with such. If one is familiar with traditional Far Eastern medicine, they may be familiar with the smells. Someone with a good sense of smell may notice it appears to stem from an inro that can always be found on his person.Traveler // Lahò can often be spotted in a variety of places. From passing through city-states to deep within even the harshest of wildernesses. Whenever one spots him alone, he seems like an aimless wanderer without direction. The majority of his traveling as if trudging through the thickest of muck. Although, some insist they've actually seen him floating and sometimes even flying or vanishing into mist and fog.Shop Owner // Rumor has it that this one actually runs a traditional Far Eastern medicine shop somewhere in the Mist. No one has ever confirmed or denied these rumors though.A Dull Gaze // This man's eyes gaze dully forward towards nothing in particular. As if in a state of apathy was all too natural. Against cool tinge pale skin there are noticeable dark circles under his eyes, signs of lacking sleep and an odd red pattern of makeup. His eyes themselves were pupil-less, a light gray and almost glowing white color reminiscent of a full moon. However, such moons were engulfed in an empty foggy shadow, as if attempting to swallow them whole.

Personality (ISTJ-A)

Lahò is a quiet man who prefers to keep to himself. Often expressing indifference or disdain in general, he may be seen as cold and uncaring due to his indifferent nature. Ones who think such wouldn't be wrong either. While he doesn't seem to care and simply goes with the flow of things, he does currently live for nothing more than his oath and freedom. That is not to say he's particularly aggressive or mean towards strangers. In fact, some even find him funny somehow.While he seems to prefer solitude, it stems more from secrecy and caution rather than unfriendliness. He prefers not to speak as he finds it "tiring". Nor does he really enjoy interacting much with others as he often finds himself getting into more work than needed. One can often catch him making exasperated sighs when with familiar company. Laho isn't opposed to working with others, but he isn't all for working with others either. Such is his indifferent nature. Some might even call him a workaholic, which seemingly contradicts his 'lazy' appearance.

Appearance

Standing at 6 fulms 8 ilms, the average height of Elezen men, Lahò has a muscular ectomorphic build. His skin is pale with a cool gray tinge and there are noticeable dark circles under his eyes. The majority of his irises are covered in a dull, dark, foggy like color. The irises of his eyes that can be seen towards the bottom are a glowing silvery white. One might say it's like gazing towards a bright full moon being swallowed by a dark cloud.His usual attire is that of loose thick silks of various monochrome tints. A good eye might spot a shimmering snake scale like pattern on the white sash between the two darker ones. When caught without his hood and eye cover, one can see golden ear clamps on his pointy ears decorated with white pearls that have been clouded in various patterns similar to that of the patterns of an eclipse. Much of his clothing itself appears to have eclipse and serpentine motifs sprinkled throughout. Laho is almost never seen without something covering his head to hide his horns.

Combat Style

Lahò's combat style can be easily summed up as 'Ranged Support', the majority of his combat and support capabilities come from his draconic nature. While not a master, he is no stranger to hand-to-hand combat and using simple weapons like batons, knives, and short swords. In groups, he prefers to fight at a range, as it is easier to sense his surroundings as well as keep his actual appearance hidden.

"Lahò" is one of seven identical chimerical creations made by a mad scientist of Allag during the Meracydian War. Using parts of the opposing dragons and man, the scientist hoped to create a team of bioengineered weapons with a thirst for destruction. Creatures that might remind the opposition of their kin and play with the empathetic and humane.Unfortunately for the scientist, "Lahò" the last of the batch, was given too much "personality" and in a fit of rage destroyed his creator and "kin". The creation then escaped and was never seen or heard of again.Warning: Link below contains implied psychological warfare, cannibalism, violence, and experimentation and torture of war victims.

History

Lahò spent the majority of his life wandering and keeping low. However, his true nature was discovered which lead to him eventually ending up locked away and forgotten. Only when he was rediscovered by a little girl from a traveling caravan was he freed once more.During his time with the caravan he received the name Lahò and learned how to use bow and arrow as well as his abilities to support others. Unfortunately, Lahò still struggled with his true nature and eventually left to wander alone.


Inspiration

Seehs-moh An's inspiration is based roughly on Lahò (also known as Bakunawa), a serpentine dragon from Tagalog mythology known for eating six of the seven moons created by Bathala. He is believed to cause eclipses of both sun and moon, for reasons varying on regional folklore. In order to protect the remaining moon and sun, natives would bang pots, pans, and make other loud noises to scare Lahò into spitting it back out.The word Lahò can also mean; eclipse, sudden or mysterious disappearance, and disappearance of one's emotion or feeling.

The end is in sight! After the constant cutting and combining of all those dragons and men, I've been able to make six successful Chimerical creatures. The long days of working in the surgical labs has finally paid off. Once the seventh addition is done, I will create one last entry. Eight total chimeras to be sent out for the war efforts. With their identical appearance, having one for each day of the sennight will be sure to cause stress on the enemy's mental state.

After discussing with my fellow colleagues, I've discovered a minor error in my experiment. These Chimerical creatures look of man and speak the tongue of dragons, but they are unable to pull at the heartstrings of the common folk. If they can't do that, how would one expect them to be able to appeal to dragons as "kin"? I will start making minor adjustments to #14 in order to make them appear more humane. The ability to lure the opposition into a false sense of security will make taking down the more empathetic all the more easier. Should these adjustments prove fruitful, I will go back to the other six and adjust them as well.

There was a slight mishap in yesterday's adjustments, it seems having added more splices of the spoken races seems to have diluted the draconic nature. The vitality and ability provided by the dragon spices are important to the subject's hardiness. I will be adding additional splices to restore the aetherochemical balance of the creature.
Looking over the other data, it seems the creature is developing as intended otherwise. Scans show active cognitive functions when stimulated. I can't wait for the end result! I yearn to see the look on my colleagues faces when this subject is put to the test.

Subject's vitality continues to stabilize. Just a bit more splices of spoken should secure the optimal nature in order to stir hearts. As a precaution, I've added additional splices of dragon as well to ensure recovery continues. The additional splices of dragon should help mask the aetherial structure and make the subject appear to the senses more like a dragon.
This may be the one! The perfect weapon to lure them in. To call out to the dragons in native tongue for aid. To approach the Meracydian spoken appearing as one of them pretending to be an escaped victim of war. I'll have so many more test subjects captured this way! Oh, my joy knows no bounds!

Today the alarms in Sector 54230 Code 127.0.01 went off and many from my squadron quickly responded as protocol. However, when we neared arrival an explosion occurred. The debris barred our path and our arrival was delayed by roughly two hours.
Upon our arrival at the site, all the lab equipment had been destroyed and there were no whole bodies to be found. We suspect the explosion may have caused the damage to the lab equipment, as well as scattered the researchers and test subjects present across the bloodied room.We will be taking whatever remaining data and pieces we can to the autopsy and incident labs.

Case File Report #05643-2 //
It has been a sennight since the initial report on File Report #05643, all equipment damages have been filed and sent in. All missing researchers have been successfully identified and informational proceedings have gone according to protocol. Only five data entries could be recovered from Code 127.0.01, luckily these remaining files were able to shed some light on what may have happened that day.
Autopsy has looked over what remained of the found researchers and chimeras at the scene. According to the reports, they were dead before the explosion occurred. It was highly likely that the Chimera #54230-014 became unstable and attacked the researchers as well as other chimeras. Several bite marks were found on all other living report subjects. We are under the impression that the chimera attacked, killed, and proceeded to eat the victims.Chimera #54230-014 was not found on site and the blood sample amounts did not add up. We believe the chimera may have escaped in the explosion, we are requesting additional back up in finding the missing subject. They are deemed to be extremely dangerous and should be killed on sight.

Case File Report #05643-3 //
Another sennight has passed and we've been unable to locate Chimera #54230-014. There were no reports of casualties or sightings since the day of the incident. This leads us to believe it may have escaped and has possibly been captured or killed in the war.
Autopsy and Scene investigators have confirmed that Chimera #54230-014 went rogue and proceeded to kill all present. After killing all the researchers and their kin, they proceeded to eat the eyes of their victims. This did not seem to sate their hungry or anger, thus they proceeded to eat the subjects in question flesh and all. This act caused a severe internal aetherial imbalance which was released as an explosion.The explosion likely caused Chimera #54230-014 injury, but not enough to prevent it from fleeing. If subject is spotted, kill on sight regardless of situation. We are marking any files relating to Chimera #54230-014 as "Kin Eater".

His Prized Possession

Lahò's most prized possession, or you could say something he would never eat, is an old worn out paper notebook. Bound on the top with twine with thin bamboo covers encasing the washi within. The label on one side has almost completely faded away as most of the pages within. It was all written in an equally old Hingan script.The following are the most legible pages in the worn out diary.

Today I received my first adult gift from mother! She says to write in it everyday. Doesn't matter what. So I will!
The script was written horribly and there was a rough painted drawing of what looks like a small girl holding up a rectangle shape on the page.

The caravan is stopping near an old abandoned village today. We'll be staying here awhile and I'm in charge of helping to collect herbs! Father is teaching me medicine, but I'm not good at it.

Today I was gathering a lot of herbs and met a tiny fox. It was really cute and I wanted to pet it, but it bit me! I chased it and it escaped through some cracks into a cave. I'm going to get revenge tomorrow by luring it out with food!

I sneaked out a fish from the day's catch today and started cooking it in front of the cave. Father caught me because of the smoke and scolded me about attracting monsters that could eat me. Just as he was there was a whining noise from the cave! We both ran away.

I went back near the cave again with father because the plants we needed were there. We took one of the hunters from the caravan with us just in case. It was a good thing we did! We heard the whining from inside the cave again and father said it sounded like someone crying. Father and the hunter worked together to move some rocks away, but there's too many! I was worried about the fox inside, but there is someone stuck inside too! Father said they'll gather more people from the caravan to help get the cave open and told me not to worry.

It has been almost a year already and Raho (歌火) still can't even say his name right. He still refuses to speak like he did before even after we told him he's not scary and the headaches aren't that bad. Sometimes it feels hard to stay mad at him, then we remember what happened with the bandits.

Raho helps me and Father gather medical herbs. He's really good at finding and reaching them, so we always come back with extra! Sometimes, Father is about to use the wrong medicine when he's too busy grinding, and Raho always catches him. The caravan is never short on medicine anymore and we even have extra to sell on the road! He's even gotten a lot better at using a bow and arrow instead of attacking things with his bare hands!

I was sick today so Father was busy taking care of me. We both miss Mother and Father tried to sing her melody but ended up crying. I really miss Mother.

It was very cold out lately, and I ended up sick again. It has been a rough year, and I told Father to help the others who fell ill too. I know Raho has been keeping an eye on me. He usually comes when he thinks I'm asleep or resting and won't notice him. He's been leaving Kudzu Roots next to me, but today he left some yellow flowers too.

We made a good amount trading today! The others and I haven't been getting sick as much as before ever since a traveling merchant told us about the yellow flowers Raho had been bringing us. Father learned a handful of new recipes for medicine thanks to the merchant using the Nagxian Cudweeds.

Today I've finally come to age become an adult. I can't believe I'm finally fifteen cycles old! I still remember the days when I was younger. Although it's already been four cycles since we found him, Raho doesn't seem to look any different. Well, I guess he's much more fit than before when he was trapped in that cave. He's very helpful and looks after Father and the elderly a lot too. I hope I get married to someone as kind as him and Father.

The year has almost come to an end and Father used a chunk of our savings to buy a small home at the edge of a village. Raho is scared to go in town without hiding much of his face and head. It makes the other villagers uneasy so he seems to simply hide at home or in the nearby bamboo forest. He always comes when Father or I call though, even if we're in company of others. Now that I think about it, even when we were far from camp he'd come when we call his name on accident. Maybe he's really good with wind charms or has excellent hearing.

My husband and Raho went out hunting today and brought back three big boars! Usually we insist he keeps more of the catch, but Raho has been acting oddly lately. He's been leaving baskets of all sorts of things inside and around the house. My husband and I began to get very concerned over it as whenever we try to ask him about it he seems to tense up and flee.

My husband figured out why Raho has been acting oddly lately. Some of the villagers mentioned him being curious about the other pregnant women and likely overheard the complications that come with being pregnant. My husband thinks Raho is worried if he is too busy to keep and eye on me something might happen, so Raho has been doing all the chores and making sure we don't want for anything. Now that I think about it, that does sound like something Raho would do.

Raho is still visiting me everyday. He's always home before me or waiting by the door for my return. It puts my mind at ease. I think he might have sensed that coming back to an empty house was difficult. It's been so busy and I've been having trouble finding time to write in this old thing anymore.

No matter what I do, my health continues to get worse. Raho has constantly been checking up on me, but I worry he'll never live his own life at this rate. I plan to leave tonight when he sneaks out to go hunting thinking I'm asleep.

- Erotic, Torture, Drug, etc. themes. I consider anything deemed illegal OOC substance wise to go under this even if it is not illegal in the game's lore. If you're trying to poison my character with a potion or something please tell me OOC!- Long-term or permanent injury, captivity, or other restrictions placed onto my character. I won't do these without good reason and narrative points.

I won't roleplay

- One shot ERP, torture, or anything that adds no real character development for the sake of fetishes or otherwise.- Character death not discussed beforehand. Combat Information

Lahò is an ancient Allagan chimera made from splices of Dragon, Au Ra, Elezen, and Hyur. Designed for warfare during the later period of the Allagan-Meracydian war as support, luring dragons, and capturing targets. His abilities and skill set reflect his purpose and as well as character development.This page is mostly related to combat roll system stuff, but can be adjusted for other uses.

☽ Lahò was designed to be able to track down and capture Dragons.☽ He has had many years of experience with other Chimeras and Allagan Clockwork species.☽ Lahò is decent with a bow and hand-to-hand combat, but ultimately he excels in forms of magic.☽ He is very good at gathering, delivering, and moving things thanks to his wind magic.

Attributes

☽ Lahò is highly resistant, but not immune to Tempering and other forms of highly concentrated manipulative aethers.☽ His skin is slightly thicker and harder to penetrate than the average spoken akin to serpentine dragons.☽ His teeth, jaw, and mouth are more akin to a dragon's being tougher for biting down and resisting internal damages as well as helping with Dragon speak.☽ His abilities are Draconic in nature while his spell list is normal magic.

Lahò is meant to be a ranged support with emphasis on support. He has decent close combat capabilities and archery, but they're not his main focus. His use of wind magic excels over his use of ice and unaspected magic, while all three excel over his use of water magics.Lahò was designed to with movement speed in mind to avoid damages while supporting the team through weak recovery spells, speed buffs, or other defensive buffing actions.His kit strongly takes inspiration from Mist Dragons while still keeping some hints of archery and other more draconic abilities.


Combat Style

Getting in and out of a situation at a moment's notice or aiding the party in escaping safely are Lahò's primary concerns. While he's more than capable of using his magic and abilities for combat, he prefers to stay his hand if not fighting alone and focus on the well being of others. This is due to his offensive abilities being more wild in nature.A battle happens quickly, and every second counts. With Lahò, the winds will be in your favor. From quickly moving one's blade across the battlefield, to covering one's escape, Lahò wishes to serve as a guard who turns away from needless violence. For some truly do not know how much violence it can take to earn even a semblance of peace.


Spell List : Wind

Unlike his kit abilities, these function as normal spells and are not Draconic in nature. While he can creatively use Wind, Ice, Unaspected and Water magics to various effects, these are spells more mechanically known through game play he can utilize. He only has access to spells that appear or are indeed of the elements he knows in nature. For example, he can use his version of Blizzard but not Fire.

Abilities

The following abilities performed by Lahò are Draconic in nature. Those familiar with it dragons such as Dragoons would be able to tell. Skilled mages, assuming they have trained or recognize how the aether flows, would be able to tell. Blue Mages familiar with dragons and certain Blue Magic can tell immediately. Additionally, those greatly familiar with Ancient Allagan research might note it is similar to Mist Dragons, ghostly dragons altered by aetherochemistry with mastery over mist.

☽ Ehsk Lahr [Great Escape]
Lahò kicks up a tailwind of aether for himself and nearby allies, shrouding their legs with a quickening gust. Greatly increasing their movement speed allowing for a quick dash in one direction.
☽ Wehsoosh Ehll [Zealous Winds]
Lahò focuses on the surrounding winds, rapidly drawing them towards himself and nearby allies. These winds shroud their arms or weapons with a quickening aether. Greatly increasing the movement of their next attack or spell.
☽ Fohl Myhk [Little Flight]
Using his ability to fly, Lahò takes to the air, weaving unaspected aethers to attach targets to his own aether and lifting them up with him. By concentrating and using additional wind magic, he stabilizes those attached to him allowing them the ability to float or even fly depending on how high up he is.

☽ Ahm Shall [Spirit Shield]
With a gathered breath and woven hand, Lahò draws forth Wind or Ice aethers to create a barrier around himself or a target. This barrier can be extended to additional targets (made larger) at the cost of 1 HP per two additional targets.
☽ Ehs An [Empty Self]
By spreading his own living aether thin, Lahò creates a mist at his position while vanishing completely. He is harder to hit and is able to move quicker in this state.

☽ Wehsoosh Ahlm [Soothing Wind]
Lahò purifies stored aether and releases it as a soothing breeze, recovering a small amount of health to nearby allies. This ability uses his own aether, therefore it does not recover his own health.
☽ Ahm Fah [Ancient Song]
Lahò spends a round to draw forth and force forward aether stored within him. On the next turn, he converts it into soothing winds and grants it to a designated target as a second breath. Raising the target to a certain amount of HP while cutting his own current HP in half.

☽ Draconic Breath
Lahò sucks in a large amount of aether, before releasing it back out as a blast of elemental aether before him.
☽ Fervent Gales
Lahò rapidly draws wind aethers to himself compressing them into blades before releasing them back outwards to anything around him.
☽ Fog Plume
At a designated location, Lahò quickly conjures forth a thick dense fog of wind and ice from below or above.
☽ Deep Fog
Lahò releases a large amount of his stored aether as a thick fog, obscuring vision of all within the fog except himself.

Weaknesses

☽ Like other chimera used for the late war efforts, Lahò is resistant to Tempering and other forms of highly concentrated aether manipulation. Should he sustain enough of it however, he begins to fall apart from the inside out and would eventually melt.☽ While he was designed to track down, lure, and capture dragons, due to design the smell of dragon blood agitates him and causes him to enter a hungered berserk state. He receives a strong whiplash when recovering from the berserk state due to trauma.☽ Lahò's Kit : Recovery abilities cannot be used on himself, nor affect him due to the nature of it. Additionally, when using Ahm Fah successfully, when Lahò looses HP he can KO himself in this manner.☽ When using Fohl Myhk, Lahò must be higher in elevation than that which is attached to him making him more prone to being spotted or enemy ranged attacks. Those attatched to him cannot move higher than Lahò in elevation, and they cannot move too far from him either. Should Lahò be grounded, all others will fall to the ground with him.☽ When Lahò uses Ehs An, he cannot perform any other action besides moving. Also, the mist cloud is made up of his aether, thus moves with him giving a general indication of where he is. Additionally, the cloud of aether is still a form of mist and is susceptible to things that normal mist would be.☽ All of Lahò's Kit : Offensive abilities are wildly draconic in nature. Having never learned how to properly control these abilities, they are liable to hit anyone within their range of effect including allies. Due to this, Lahò will rarely use anything under this kit.

☽ Lahò is very good at getting to and from locations quickly and is more than capable of taking others or things with him. Sky's the limit quite literally with this one.☽ Lahò is highly resistant to weather that is windy or cold in nature. His vision is not typically obscured by natural fog or mist. It would be very counter productive as most of his kit causes such effects after all!☽ Using a combination of his wind, water, and ice magic, Lahò is capable of forming some structures or items out of ice such as shelter, containers, and such. These structures however, are still ice in nature. While resistant to melting from simple fires, they are very cold to the touch.☽ Lahò is good for tracking down Dragons, Chimera, and Allagan Clockwork creatures. Due to his design and history, he is also knowledgable on the weaknesses of most under these catagory of bestiary. Thanks to his ability with a bow, he is a decent hunter. Having lived off the land for so long he makes for a good traveling companion where one has to pack lightly.☽ Lahò can also focus his Wehsoosh Ahlm on a general area to cleanse it of impurities. This may take several rounds however, depending on the amount of impurities in the air. Additionally, he can simply blow or scatter impurities in the air, snow, ground, water, or otherwise with a combination of his magics.☽ Lahò's kit can be extremely helpful in turning the tides of a battle by granting allies an advantage in movement while hindering the movement of enemies. Giving him instructions or calling his attention towards something is the best method of finding tactical advantages. Two heads are better than one!

Far Eastern Wayfarer // Relatively early in his life he found his way to the Far East where he roamed aimlessly. He was commonly mistaken for an Uwabami due to his insatiable hunger towards freshly harvested eyes and flesh. He was labeled as an evil spirit and many tried to exorcise him, unfortunately for them, he is not a yokai. Attempts to kill him lead to endless chases until some clever locals tricked him. He was sealed inside a small cave for a long time and forgotten until a traveling caravan happened upon him much later. Far Eastern long lived species may have heard a rumor once upon a time.Seek Truth Ye of Allag // Does your character study Allagan history tirelessly? Perhaps they've stumbled upon loose mentions of the types of bioengineered experimentation and rumors that happened around the time of the Meracydian war. Or maybe they're familiar with chimeras in general, to which they might know what he actually is.

Trivia of Allag

✩ He is a very old Chimera, the Third Astral Era was around 5000 years ago after all. He was created by a twisted mad scientist during the Meracydian War.☽ He was created for psychological warfare. To lure in unsuspecting Meracydians and Dragons alike to be ambushed as well as to cause various types of trauma. Things such as not being able to trust who truly is a prisoner who escaped or who really is an ally asking for aid. His maker was very much, not a good person.✩ Lahò actually does not know how to 'digest' what he eats properly, an implementation from his creator in order to keep him in an at least semi-starved state and force him into fighting more.✩ Lahò's other splices of DNA are from; an curious adult Hyur adventurer who loved to travel and discover new things, a moody old Elezen medic who was really tired of reckless patients, and a young Au ra girl with an absolute love of all things small, fluffy, and cute. One might sometimes see these personalities peek out with how he acts.✩ Lahò learns very quickly, but due to how he was made, speaking in languages other than dragon are difficult for him.


☽ There was a point in his life where he lived in the Far East. At first he was mistaken for an Uwabami due to his insatiable hunger towards freshly harvested eyes and flesh. He wasn't a spirit, so Omnyoji and other practitioners of the spiritual were unable to do anything about him. Attempting to kill him was difficult and he constantly fled quicker than they can catch him. They eventually tricked him and locked him into a cave using freshly hunted carcasses.✩ While trapped by the village, his more draconic nature got the better of him and he'd have fits of rage from within the cave. Scared the seal might break, the village started sacrificing corpses to what they thought was a malevolent spirit. Lahò's more 'humane' side was sickened by this, but his dragon side and embedded nature as a bioengineered weapon of war outweighed the other. He survived trapped in the cave by eating the sacrifices by the villagers.☽ Eventually through the years the village was abandoned and Lahò was forgotten. During this time he lived eating dirt, stone, leftover bones, and whatever else he could get any form of aether from in the darkness. Out of necessity, he learned how to 'eat' away at the aether used to ward the cave causing it to weaken over the years.
